This is a really interesting article on teenage boys (clause--American) and their relationships with one and other--males in general to some degree. I am always struck by some of the differences between men and women (oh so many!!). I remember a story a friend once told me of two children who lost a parent. They were both young and at a gathering at the home after the wake or funeral, the girl has all her friends hugging her, holding her hand and and comforting her. Whilst the boy, he and his friends just sat there in silence, separate, not knowing how to communicate intimately such travesties. This speaks to that of some degree.
Side note, I am always telling Ben and teasing him to tell or text his males friends "I love you". And he does! Isn't that the cutest :)
I really love this little post on Mark and Angel about life lessons learned in 30 years...
It reflects on all the relationships we have, deepest with ourselves. And I am realizing more and more as I open up to my own flaws and strengths that how we treat ourselves reflects directly on how we gain and give in our relationships with others. Here are 5 of 30 little (big!) lessons:

IF I WERE A....
I've missed you! So sorry I got distracted with time and occupations of life. I had a lot of conversations about accepting who you are this past weekend. About not having guilt for what you have or where you are in life. That you can be confident and own who you are and what you do and still be humble and compassionate. About not adding a prolog to your thoughts or opinions. About taking things that you once thought were weaknesses and spin them around to your advantage. That every part of you can be a strength if you use it right. In honor of this, my mantra for the week (for you to pay it forward):

It's times like these I miss my days in London. Walking in and out of galleries and museums, expense free, open to explore and shift with encounterment of others creations. The Tate modern is just such a spectacular place and in my one year in London, I think I absorbed more art than my 5 years in New York (I was also in school and not working). This exhibition of Yayoi Kusama's work makes me long for a flight oversea. I love love interactive experiential work!
