Turning 30!
This summer I turned 30. It was wonderful and amazing and I had not one second of fright. I feel lighter and more focused then ever. I took some moments the week of to reflect upon and take note of the work I have done as an individual for personal growth. I made a huge list of thoughts and learning's. A lot of what I wrote is only awareness of, perhaps I haven't made into just practice yet. But that is my work. Over the next few weeks I want to share with you some of these lessons. I will offer 10 every Wednesday. I humble share with you things I have learned/am learning:

Words for you...
If I were a rich girl...
What hair products do you use? I recently went to Parlour and Jill my stylist gave me samples from Davines. I have really dry course hair that almost never dries soft. Until now! I love LOVE this stuff!
I did get convinced in purchasing their alchemic silver conditioner. She said I should use it once a week so keep my highlights from going yellow and orange. An insurance on my investment she said (in getting my hair highlighted). It's miracle stuff! I even went to bed with wet hair and woke up with somewhat manageable hair. Which some of you can empathize, never happens with very thick hair.

The only thing is it's very expensive for me! What other products do you use? I use Dove, Alba, Aveno, whatever! I am forever in search of the perfect hair product for my time of hair.

Hello world!!!
It has been a long long time. My apologies for having been MIA for so long. My efforts had to be put elsewhere for just a bit of time. My company Red Anchor Photo still needs a lot of tender love and care and has been taking up loads of time with wedding season. I guess I still have some balancing to learn... Where have I been? In photoshop and lightroom!
But I am back, I have missed this daily exercise in sharing what I find worth sharing with you and missed your conversation in return. Some highlights of what I have been doing:
- Being a part of wonderful days of love and wonderful moments with children photographing weddings and baby's!
- 1000 hours photo editing!!
- One trip to Atlantic city
- 4 trips to the beach
- 2 trips back home to Cape Cod to see the family
- My first attempt at clam chowder
- Too many tacos and glasses of wine.
- 1 trip to Idaho
- Countless trips to Beacon, NY
- Game of Thrones, Mad Men, The Killing, The Wire, Girls...omg so much TV!
- Eating salads and homemade Gazpacho daily
- Reading 3 Bret Easton Ellis novels and the History of Love (I needed some female tenderness)
- Working, babysitting, working, living, loving!
Here is some light I have collected...

Song for you...
It was a few months ago that a yoga teacher played this during Shavasana and my mind melted into a puddle of syrup infused with shimmering gold.
"There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in...."

Do you treat yourself?
Do you ever really treat yourself yourself? NO, I don't mean getting those shoes you can't afford or eating an ice cream sunday (which is all fine and fabulous). I mean treat your body, your mind? My mom gave me a magnet in college that said "If you don't take care of your body where will you live?". I think she was worried about the smoking and drinking that college sometimes induces. Anyway, I have never forgotten these words. It can be so so challenging. We can get so stressed and busy that we think have earned the right to take on bad habits-drinking, eating out, eating junk food, buying things. "I deserve it", we proclaim! But sometimes the answer is easier, simpler. If we just sit ourselves in a tub, surrounded by candles and lavender those other quick fixes might just evaporate into the air...and we will be brought right back to what is truly the root - our bodies, ourselves.
Treat yourself, even in times where you have no time.
Buying music for GOOD?
What a great idea. I am of the mind that everything that is successful can gain from giving. The magazine GOOD offers downloadable music that is pay-as-you-wish wherein they will donate the net proceeds to a worthy organization. How cool!

If I were a...
I have been thinking I really want a new night stand, but I am not at a place right now to spend the green for dream stand. What do you think of these? Any favorites?
1. This idea is so simple. There are cheese crates for $15 on ebay! Could also be used for couch side table.
2. Easy. Classic. Love it!
3. LOVE LOVE THIS! Simple, elegant, minimal.
4. If I lived in the woods I would go get a few of these right now...
5. This idea might not be best in my space, but such a clever idea!
6. Functional and easy. I would want a different basket but could work!

Art for you...

"I just like to draw things that happens in real life, I'm tired to visit contemporary art galleries or museums, all I find there it's just like visiting primary schools on a parent's day. They try to express themselfs in a random or painting fade throwed on a canvas or sticked trash into a litter. All it is shown is valid and allowed."
